sprung a coolant leak...grr.

stupid heater hose fitting that goes into the head needs resealed.

gonna havta get a gallon of coolant or two, pull the hose and that fitting, put some high temp RTV on there and thread it back in snug, put the hose back on, and top off the coolant.

 

Got the new hub assembly put on the truck, cost me a whole $22.50 Maybe now the wheel won't fly off

 

i think i might need a new pcv valve in my ramcharger. check my oil/water sperator and there was a fair bit of oil in it and i have really not done that much driving since i installed it.

 

started installing the trans temp gauge today... gonna finish it up tomorrow. pics to follow!

 

Installed my headers, could feel and hear the difference. Not bad for only a $200 mod.

Well it's been over the past week, but I got the gear box, the power steering pump, heavy duty pitman arm and tie rod end put on finally. Also ran new brake lines from the junction box below the master cylinder to the rear drums and replaced a fuel line that I busted while doing the brakes, whoops. Had the bed off to do all that and have actually been thinking about turning it into a flat bed but not quite sure yet. Then this weekend I fixed some of the old rust spots and got her all sanded down, rolled on the new bed liner, and ready for a paint job for this weekend. Will put pictures up when all done

re-sealed a couple coolant plugs in the head, determined that its the heater hose leaking and not the plugs. ugh. stupid hoses.

so will be replacing a heater hose today so all of my coolant will stay in the cooling system and not steaming out of the heater hose while going down the road.

 

walked by it and realized I left the oil catch pan under it when I did the trans filter, left it sit. Came inside and realized that I need to do something with the almost 100 pictures I have of it, progress log time me thinks
