I was seeing them priced at $111 for metal horns (don't want plastic). I need to find a compressor setup with a tank for under $200 and I'll be set.
One thing I plan on doing with the compressor is splitting the air lines to each bumper so I'll have on board air for the tires.

Pulled all four tires and did a quick brake inspection. Greased front end, checked ball joints and hub bearings. Did a hang check on limit straps.
I'll be dammed! &%$#@** dorman tie rod/track bar boots are shot. Less than 6 months old!
Looks like new front pads, calipers and rotors are in the future. Maybe stainless lines too. Might as well take out the trackbar and press in a new end bushing and rebuild the rod end.
I remember when Dorman meant quality. Hmmm...why can I remember that but not where I left my keys...

Wellllllll... I think I may be leaving the 2nd gen section of this forum and moving up to the 3rd gen.

I don't quite get why I'm moving sections as far as the forum, because I thought 2nd gen was through 02 but whatever.

Looking at getting a 02 Dodge 2500 with 7" lift and 35" tires. It's got the 5.9L in it. Waiting to see if the bank approves us. Hopefully an early/on time birthday gift for me. fingers crossed.

Get some energy suspension boots. I replaced my tie rod boots with the urethane energy suspension boots and they're still good after a year or so.
Since you mentioned it, my front suspension could probably use some grease.

The heavy duty's didn't change body styles till 03.
So, no, you won't be changing forums. Unless you get a Cummins. Then you'll be posting in both.

Cleaned my TB yesterday. Amazing what a little carbon build up will do.
The truck can chirp the tires now. (?!)

That's what I thought. But if you look at the top of the 2nd gen area it says through 01. I'm stayin' here though. Personal choice. Haha.

But this is the truck... as long as the loan goes through.

Smile 1997 Ram 2500

I have 1997 ram 2500 dana 60 front and back.
Today i swab out both axle tubes and gear housing.
I wanted to get it cleaned up real good for new ring and pinion.
It was a tough job but dont change bearings without getting
the axle clear of metel shaving.

Loosen lug nuts move truck back and forth then jack it back up.
