What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
i changed the air filter on my 81 but instead of getting a 14"x3" i got a 14"x4". i think it looks a lot better but i need to find the threaded rod that i have for the 4" tall air filter. i had to turn the lid upside down to us the bolt i had.
Unfortunately yes lol.. got all my debts just about taken care of and now im working on getting a fancy new loan... so it will be a little bit before work starts
Checked the oil, coolant, and ps fluid levels a few days ago to find all of them low. Steering box has a bad seal that I already knew about so that's the cause for low fluid.
I tracked the coolant leak to around the tstat housing/intake/water pump area. So today, after pulling the alternator (so I could see better) I found a leaking tstat housing gasket, and either a leaking intake manifold gasket or leaking timing chain cover gasket.
Now to find where my oil is going. Plenum was fixed with a Hughes kit, new bolts, gaskets, etc this past winter so it can't be that. I pulled the TB anyways and viola a nice big pool of oil to swim in...
Tackling operation plenum (#2) tomorrow. Then figuring out whether or not I'm gonna have to replace the timing cover gasket plus the chain & gears.
Good thing I'm not strapped for time or anything... oh wait I have 15 days until I have to drive the truck 850 miles to Ohio for college.

Swing by the dealership and pick up a new PCV valve. Heck, get two. They're cheap.
