The Official 2nd Gen RAM Forum OT thread
That is one thing I hate about PowerStrokes and Duramax V8s. They are just annoying loud!!!! Just sitting there idling, "Rah-rahr-rar-rar-rar-rar" as loud as a chainsaw. Cummins sixes are so much quieter.
I dont like the color white at all, but I think this looks ****:

Maybe a 6'' lift and 35'' tires, too.
But I'd still rather have sunburst orange and black.

Anyways you're waaay to young to think quiet is cool.
Yeah, I love the 12 valves. Loud, smokey, and smelly.
The 53 blocks were in only ever in 24 valves I believe, so no need to worry about that.
I would like to get my hands on a 96-97 12 valve, before they changed the interior too. I'm not sure if that happened in 97 or 98, but I like the interior that's in my truck, no dashboard cracking crap going on.
The only thing about the 2003-2004 5.9s is they're so powerful just from stock. Like 325 hp, and 610 ft-lbs torque. Stock.
If you get a 12 valve, you HAVE TO modify it just so it can get out of it's own way. But I've seen crazy power come out of those motors if you tune it right.

I guess I'm too used to being around gas motors. Loud just isint my thing.
