^thats real good, when i did plenum, plugs, kegger mod etc, i went from 9 mpgs city to 14 city, so i can image you should get a solid 15-16 after those are done.

Ya I was quite shocked I was expecting around 8-10 like you said. I'm also running 285/75r/16 tires.

Hey guys I was wondering real quick, I`ve been on the look out for a kegger so I can mod it and do the plenum all at once without having to take my truck off the road. Question is, will a intake manifold out of a 2000 Ram 1500 with the 318 (same as mine) work on my engine or am I SOL. Thanks.

look for egr/ non egr, #of coolant sensor ports and vacuum ports. dont remember if 96 has egr, 2000 doesnt, earlier trucks had 2 coolant ports, and some have diff # of vacuum ports on the sides

Yeah, it will work. A nice thing about the 2000 year intake is it doesnt have EGR so you can delete that.

if the 96 has egr, its not as easy as deleting it with a non egr intake......i have my egr blocked off, BUT all other connections are there.....and my truck seems to run a little funny before warmed up...i think hed be askin for trouble leavin everything undone if he even has egr
