The only time ive ever seen a tcase break like that (aside from getting hit of course), was because of a tweaked frame. A bent frame will torque on that little guy and cause it to do just that. You may want to look into that before you go dropping $$$ on a new t case.

Nope. Haven't used that since January. I thinking that is the factory transfer case housing. I know it was rebuilt when I had that done.

Whoever rebuilt it could have overtightened the bolts on the case.

That wouldn't cause that issue. From what I've found out is that it's the original TC. So it being 10 yrs old and having the stress cracks is a huge issue.
