Default Question about running my power wire. HELP!

Is there any other holes in my firewall of my truck that i can run my power wire threw, for my amp, and subs? I took my subs out of my old car, and I am going to put them in my new truck. I just need to know if i need to drill a hole, or if there is already a existing hole there in the fire wall. It is 2 Gauge power wire, if that helps any.

I fished my power wire through a grommet where the wiring harness goes into the cab. I cut a little slit in the rubber and fed it through there. Run your power wires down the driverside of the cab and the RCA's down the other side too

two guage is pretty thick stuff. could be tough to run through the grommet behind the dash. i would either drill a new hole in an easier location or run it up through the drain plug under the cab. just zip tie it to the brake lines along the frame rail then come up. that way is alot easier than fishing it through that wiring grommet with thick power cable like that.

and maxx is right, the best way to guarantee no alternator whine is to run the rca on the other side of the truck. and make sure that you have a really good ground with no paint around the hole, that will give you the best sound possible.

thanks beefy, I've done that for years with every car I've put a stereo in

also, make sure your amp ground wire is no longer than 18"
