Thanks guys, glad ya like it! I already got some use out of it yesterday at my cousins wedding with camera chargers and phone chargers lol... works great! I can still hear the fan running, part of the reason I wanted it out of the way was because of the noise, but it's still quite noticeable without the music on... I'm pretty sure it'll get enough airflow where it is, it's completely open underneath it behind the bottom of the dash.

Slick, I spent most of an evening working on it on the bench, with all the cutting and soldering I did... and a lot of standin there with a beer and a smoke looking at it, while the gears were spinnin in my head lol. Most of my bright ideas spawn from a nice, ahem, 'inspirational' smoke .... The soldering took me the longest.... I'd say if I were to have went right at it and banged it out I coulda done it in a couple hours I imagine... Now that I've done it I could do it in no time lol Took me under 20 minutes to mount it in the truck and connect the wiring to the inverter. I thought I would have to tie it all together after it was in the truck, but I had just enough room to get the bundle of wires up and out of the way...

On a side note, I discovered that our cupholders have a damned light! Had no idea it was there, although I think I vaguely remember seeing someone else who found the same... My bulb was blown obviously, and someone had slid a piece of clear blue plastic into the housing to give a blue effect, which was nicely melted slightly lol. I put a new bulb (clear, with no melted plastic ) in it but I still couldn't get it to come on, until I got in the truck last night and it was magically lit up haha! I love it, so nice to be able to see where those holders are in the dark, but I'm not used to it yet and keep thinking my dash is open lol... SO how does it turn off if the cupholder was closed? I didn't notice any switch there and I had the cupholder unit out when I did the inverter.... And does it only come on at night, or just when the truck is running? I know it doesn't come on with the parklights, but never tested anything else yet...

and yes, I'm still a little hung over from the wedding, a bunch of us went to my aunts house after the dance, and we never shut er down till probably 5 or so....

That inverter is huge compared to my 300w one.
I don't remember what I paid for it either.
Got it a couple years back, from wally world and its purple.
