Default Tire opinion??

I think I'm posting this in the right spot...

Alright, so I have handyme down tires from a 3500 on my truck right now, but they're just about bald, so I'm getting new tires after my truck gets back on the road. My choices are:
BFGoodrich KM2s (285/70R17) Equals out to about 33x11.5 17
Goodyear DuraTracs (285/70R17) Equals out to about 32.7x11.5 17.

Any opinions? They're pretty dang close to the same price. I was hoping that'd be my deciding factor.

Have heard great things about the KM2s, I would never buy a goodyear tire, the last set I had was garbage, but heard there offroad tires are a step above the street tires.

My vote KM2, also what about the mickey thompson's, and coopers

sorry just saw you have 17's but they have tons of sizes, check out tire rack, and just use a size calculator for dimensions. the reviews of all the tires are on there also, they rank much better than the tires youre looking at

The reason for these being my 2 choices is because our money is a little limited and since my fiance is Navy, we're going to put the tires on his credit card through them... And they have very selective choices. The Cooper STTs were what I really want, they just don't carry them.

I think we're going to try to talk his grandma into loaning us money until we get our taxes back so we can just get the STTs... I can't get my mind off from them. And I'm afraid if I settle, I'm never going to be happy. Especially since the base charges out of the *** for these tires... so I might as well just wait or get what I really want.

Mickey Thompson MTZ ....hands down the best tire I have owned. They wear very slowly, are quiet for 35" Mud Tires , and handle great .

Only two brands of tires that I had trouble with were BFGs and Goodyears. Mickey Thompson/Dick Cepeks are high but have performed fantastically for me and have lasted longer than I've owned any of the trucks I put them on...

The Cooper STT are a great tire, I just took a set off my truck, Got about 3 years out of them, This is mountain driving so pretty hard on tires. They are a great tire in mud and snow, don't throw rocks(to bad), howl after some wear, not a squishy tire like some m/t tires are.
