Default I am Stoopid. Getting ANOTHER new front bumper assembly

So I made a stupid last night....

I just got these nice rectangular fog lights in yesterday so I went ahead to begin installing.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Problem is I didn't take in account for the mounting brackets, just the actual light housing itself. So I wanted to mount them in the inside square of the bumper next to the bumper guards...not enough room...I though if I could modify the bracket or my bumper to make fit it would be all good. So I started grinding slots into my bumper to make it fit. And wasn't until on was on my back that I realized I had a perfect spot to mount the on the underside of the bumper guard....oh well. Couldn't make the lights mount correctly and now I just wanna put them on the bottom of the bumper guards...

I hate my bumper....after I screwed it up with the grinder, I listed the bumper on CR last night. Hopefully it will be sold soon so I can put a brand new bumper on with the fog lights

same lights i have mounted it on a piece of angle iron and tack welded it to the bumper brackets, i did the same thing you did and didnt account for the mounting arm, just make sure you slide it down a bit more before you weld it on.

Dang man I give ya props! I didn't even know you had these fog lights hiding back there...NICE

Thx for the tip and all but I have no welder or access to one...I will have to make do I suppose... I really thinking about mounting them on the bottom of the bumper guards.....

New bumper is ordered and I will be picking up in Atlanta tomorrow morning. Don't think I will have time to install before the Test and Tune @ Atlanta Dragway though

instead of welding, drill a hole and use bolts...that could work

True, I am picking up the new bumper tomorrow morning. So I won't be making any final calls on the fog light placement until the new bumper gets put on...

Damn, now that I am thinking about it, it would be alot easier to mount the fog lights how lord was talking about before I install the new bumper, and just bolt in place as your said 95Ram... I dunno yet, Ima sleep on it.....

I picked up the new fornt bumper today...only costs $197 for a chrome one with the upper and lower covers. Not a bad price. Hopefully I will have time to install by end of this weekend...

I noticed we don't have a DIY for front bumper...maybe time for a write up? Not that its hard, but it could help some newbs on here who need to be spoon feed

Rain rain, go away, come again another day....

15 days of pure sunshine, then the day I get my bumper, it won't stop raining. Wish I had a garage

Well, the project is finally done. All the plastic trim peices were painted gloss black and cleared. Rear bumper pads, rear license bracket, bumper plugs, upper and lower front covers, bumper guard rubber inserts, and front license plate mount. New bumper is installed, with all the accessories and even got the new fog lights mounted and wired up. They work great and are really bright! I'm gonna do a Simple DIY bumper install to take the guess work out of doing the removal and installation. Should make it a bit easier for someone who could use a few tips. Look for it in the DIY section within a day or two.
