I'm getting a three-gauge pillar pod loaded up with a tach (my truck's a base model with the huge fuel gauge) and fuel pressure and vacuum gauges, all Autometer Z-series.

Yeah, the tach is superfluous with an automatic transmission, but for some reason I hate being without one.

 

A tach is always a good thing to have. Ive had one in all my race trucks which all have been automatic, and they're especially handy when towing.

 

Yeah... I'm always in tune with what the truck is up to so a tach is really just a confirmation device. Kinda like looking in the mirror to confirm that it's really a zit and not a gila monster biting your nose.

I hate when poisonous lizards bite me on the face.
