Dodge vs. Ford LOL
I am sorry, but the this truck is better than this truck threads are stupid. I am a Mopar guy til the day I die, but I don't need to justify the type's of trucks/cars I like.
That's my thoughts for the day lol.

cummins vs the weak 5.4. hah no weight to keep it down. It just bobs. Plus the cummins tourque is ridicuolous. I eat fords for breakfast. Unfortunately the only good competitior for me is trhe respectable tuned 350 vortech chevy small block. plus they have a 5 spd auto, i have a 4.

My buddy does I think, He has a 98. Hes gotta have a 5 speed. 1,2,3, & D on the dash. Thought tha was a 5 spd however Ive never actually looked for concrete evidence.
My Dads 1997 Chevy 3500 4x4 with the 454 has a 4L80E with the 123 D on the dash. It does not have a OD lockout button so you use 3 to drive with OD locked out. Drive just allows OD.
Nope its a 4-speed. If its a 1500 it has the 4L60E and if its a 2500 or 3500 it may have 4L80E. The 4 designates the number of speeds, the 60 or 80 ect is the torque handling ability of the transmission, and the E is for electronically controlled. Similar to the dodge naming system 46RE, 4 is number of speeds, 6 is torque handling ability and E is electronically controlled.
