Wow. Didn't know you were able to get your truck to the 13.5 1/4 mile time mark. Impressive.

Seriously though, I know of factory SRT-8 Challengers getting whipped up on by factory WRX's...

Not to rain on the parade here, but...

Bad driver, missed shifts, or something wrong with his WRX. No way our heavy trucks can keep up with those cars. A stock regular WRX from 2006 or 2007 (first couple years they were released) has a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds, or there-abouts. A stock 2000 Ram is around the 9 second mark, almost double.

Even with 4.10 gears and some heavy modifications, I highly doubt you can go that fast without turning your truck into something that resembles Indy's Ram.

light turns green, and we stomp it, he started pulling away, then my truck downshifted, I fall back into my seat, and i ripped past him, then towards the end he pulled back past me.....at .6 of a mile he was only less than a car length in front of me.

Just thought id share, thought my RAM held up great lol....i usually dont push it like that though....

like i said he could have missed a shift, or he didnt punch it all the way, but i saw him shift and the rear of the car squat, so i know he was hammering on it a little bit.

dog on me all you want, i know it happened.

I've a similar tale-

My company has fleet trucks, which are 2008 QC 2wd 5.7L Hemi's..

I took them to a quick change lube joint for oil and inspection, and, of course, the rattle trap boys wrench there... One has a civic.. That civic is blacked out (spray can) and has at least a 5 inch pipe on it.. Sounds horrid imHo..

He said he could take the truck, starting out in third and within a city block (light to light)...

Now one of those trucks is a dog.. It's identical to the other aesthetically, but it runs nowhere near as good..

He couldn't take it no matter what he did.. From third, from first, clutch dropping at redline while I idle.. nothing.. and he just inspected the truck so he knows there is nothing special about it..

the only bad part about this tale, is that I will hafta find a new place to take my trucks for servicing..

c'mon, that Subaru WRX likely had a clogged cat, bad o2 sensors, and some serious pre-ignition due to leaking plenum gasket.. His ignition wires were undoubtedly routed incorrectly, and he most likely suffers bad solenoids in the tranny.. it's a good chance he had cracks between the valve seats on his head, and his Non-SCT'd PCM has the death flash..

We could have him straightened out in no time..

being sb/sc makes a diffrence and you have 4.10 and if it was a non turbo i could see you keeping up..

my truck surprises me sometimes on some of the things i race and i still have 3.55 open carrier
