Grand Cherokee would be a nice buy. There are a ton of WJs around here for not much money. The 4.7 V8s have real good power (thanks to the vehicle weighing in at around 3800 lbs) and decent fuel economy. I have the 4.7 HO in my '02 Overland 4x4 and before lift and aggressive tires I was getting 17/22 and have even nipped 24 mpg on trips. The 2" lift and A/Ts cost me a little but I can still hit 20 on the open road if I can stay off the damn thing. The other nice thing is the WJs ('99-'04) had a SFA...

well just wanted to tell you guys that i picked up a toyota today. its got a 179,000 miles 22re 5 speed reg cab 4x4. its got a cap with it plus a heavy duty rear bumper body is a little beat up not to bad, but i picked her up for $2050, and the only thing ive done is replace the blown speakers. but i happy with it and she seems to get the milage i was after so i did good plus i got an extra 950 bucks in my pocket. the only thing i might do is add a tachometer. if you guys want i will post some pics tomorrow

The 22 motors are indestructable. There was a video an acquaintance of mine put onto the internet. I cant remember the exact circumstances but he emailed it to me after we did some work on his buggy. Anyways, it's now a 3 cyl.
