They installed 'hybrid parking' spots right up next to our mall, closer than the damned wheelchair spots! Ours are green and say 'Hybrid'... They have signs up on them saying they are ONLY for vehicles with an MPG rating of something like 35 or so... I have a pic somewhere of my truck parked in one, and another with dad's 318 Dakota also When I parked mine there, I left it runnin while I went in to the mall just to **** em off a bit more hahahaa

They had a good 40 year run.

To tell you the truth, I'm glad they got rid of them. Stupid inefficient and gutless. Now that doesnt mean I dont love mine. Its got muscles only a mother could love.

Compared to what American automakers should have been producing in the '90s, instead of 35 year old technology, its stupid inefficient and gutless. But stupid reliable and trustworthy.

im sure by now if they wouldof kept the 5.2 or 5.9 it would have been beefed up more, but not as much as the hemi.

anytime you look at a newer engine it dont even look like a REAL motor like ours . you pop the hood and see a nice block and you can tell what is what .

Chrysler would'nt have kept these motors. Of all their shortcomings, they were smart enough to know that...Now re-designing the whole platform kinda like what GM did with the LS motors. That would (could) have been sweet. But average joe knows (thinks) a if it "Aint Gotta HEMI" it aint worth scratch.

Chrysler was not that smart. they stopped using the slant 6. it was not that bad. EPA rated it at 36mpg on the highway. it was a pretty much an indestructible engine. most people that have had them have nothing but extremely good things to say about them. i wouldn't mind seeing what would happen if you stuck one in a new dodge challenger.
