I have an '01 1500 318 (5.2). Just turned 250,000 miles yesterday, stopped and took a picture of the odometer (now if I can just get the pic off my phone). I bought this truck new and put on each and every mile on it myself except for a few hundred when my wife was driving.

It's been a good truck. Just had the trans rebuilt 10,000 miles ago, a broken leaf spring, some front end work, and a water pump is the only repair work needed.

I may get something a little easier on gas to run around in, but I'm going to hang on to my truck and would like to put another 250,000 miles on it.

A guy at a chevy dealership told me that Dodges are work horses that will run forever of maintained. This is awesome.

He steered you right on that one. I'm not a "tinkerer". All I do is keep the oil changed and keep the salt off.

 

I just thought it was funny because he's the guy that sold my father-in-law his new Denali XL.
