Looks like im gonna get to explore the inside of my labtop soon

 

laptops are not too hard to take apart but you just have to make sure you remove all the screws on the main part before you try to pull it apart. sometimes there is even a trim piece above the keyboard that has to be removed before you can remove all the screws to take it apart.

 

Do I need to take apart the screen part or is that ok, and the bottom looks pretty simple only about 23 little screws

 

no you don't have to take apart the screen apart. there may be a few screws hiding under neath the keyboard after you have removed most of the screws on the bottom side.

 

I do not recommend taking apart a newer laptop unless you have previous experience doing so, or are supervised by someone who has done it. They are not as easy to take apart, and even harder to put back together, then most older models were. This is due to the fact that they have gotten slimmer and thinner, and so they have to get ever more creative putting them together. Glues are becoming more prevalent, for example. Some things, unless put back together PERFECTLY, will not fit right and may not work right.

Why do you think techs get paid so much?

Taking a can of compressed air to the side vents and blowing them out (without taking anything apart) is usually sufficient, unless you are having overheating problems.

 

I guess im either stupid or brave, just like workin on my truck if I take it apart I can get it back together, and usually fix it, plus the labtop is a couple years old so im not too worried about it would like it to last a couple years more

 

Problem is, you're working on a lot smaller scale with a lot weaker parts than our trucks have.
