Swapped tires around today.
I bought my truck with some 16x8's with 265's on it and they looked way too small in my opinion. My buddy has an 04 Cummins 3500 and has a couple sets of tires/wheels in different sizes in his barn. I wanted to see what would look best filling the wheel wells without getting a lift. We started with a set of 20's with 305 cooper tires and it looked too streetish. We then tried a set of 17x8's with 305's on the driverside and took the 17x9's with 315's off of his truck and put them on the pass side. I think the 305's looked best, the 315's were a little too big and would have rubbing issues on the fenders, I'm borrowing the 305's for a couple days while I decide on rim and tire brands.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. After we finished I took my friend to lunch at the local diner. As I was getting out an older retired Marine was getting in his clean 90's F250 and said "the chrome wheels look really great son" (I'm 48). Felt nice to hear that.
We tried the 315's which are on black wheels with machined trim and with the stainless panels on the body (installed by previous owner) it just didn't work. The chrome wheels look much better. The wheels in the last 3 pics are american racing wheels but we can't remember the name of them. They're growing on me, so I'll probubly buy those from him and get some new tires. Currently looking at Mickey Thompsom MTZ's, Goodyear Dura-tracs and MT/R's, and Cooper STT's in a 305 series.
