I'm thinking buying it, just because I know I can sell it for around $8,000 in my area easy.

I've had someone offer me $6,800 for mine, and it has 105,000 Miles and some pretty bad rust spots.

I'm trying to sell an S-10 on Craigslist right now, and I have someone who will buy it if i come down to $4,000 on it. I'm thinking about selling the S-10 to that guy and then buying that truck the same day.
Anyone think I should go for it... Or am I doing something stupid?

 

I would buy it.... but only after giving it a good once over... then another once over (twice-over?). Make sure you don't forget to check the plenum.

Sadly, when it seems something is too good to be true, it usually is.

Just make sure and inspect the **** out of it prior to exchanging so much as a nickel.

 

Its an ok price but don't expect a huge return. Up here in WI they seem to be giving 1500 dodges away. I have seen some really nice ones with lower miles for less than $3000. Its to bad I need a 3/4 ton as they seem few and far between (or the seller thinks there gold plated).

Check the tranny good. Sounds like it might be going out and they want to dump it.

if the transmission is needing replacement, its the difference in make or break....

 

I'd do a CARFAX on it, and if its "just" his work truck why would he need to sell it, but hey you never know, just !!!! the !!! way he typed!!!! and used all the punctuation!!!!!! marks in the ad !!!!!!!seems suspect to me but HURRY IT WONT LAST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but it did get your attention though...... you know what to check for after being here for awhile now, good luck let us know

That is a scam. They are not even creative anymore. I see adds like that all the time. They all list the the vehicle for $2800.

 

Yours is a Scam ad, it popped up on St. Louis Craigslist a few times too. Mine has an E-mail link and Phone Number, so it's legit. If the Tranny is good, and all seems to check out, I'm thinking about going for it.
