Skyjacker front spring install
I needed a little extra height in the front because my tires rub a little when hitting a bump while turning.
I also never liked the feel of the stock springs, so I opted for new springs instead of spacers. But wanted leave the rear alone,
As it's already hard enough to get heavy stuff loaded in. And the coil-over rear shocks do lift it .5"-1" .
I ordered from 4-wheel parts. It was a great deal, but I will never order from them again.
For $215 I got a pair of 2" skyjacker springs and daystar shocks (made in Mexico) with free shipping on everything. The $215 included an
extra $20 off for using google checkout.
When trying to track my order online, it usually just said "technical difficulties".
After 2 weeks and a few calls to customer service, I got through to a supervisor, he gave me a tracking number, but it just said
"order ready for UPS" for several days.
After speaking to the same supervisor about the order he said the first one "got lost at the wharehouse"
and gave me another tracking #.
This time, the springs were on their way, but it was gonna be another week until the shocks arrive.
Finally on 4/26 my shocks arrived. I ordered on 3/28!!! I had spent over 2 hrs on the phone with customer service in all.
Also got new stabilizer bar links from rock auto. Deeza brand (made in Turkey) greasable links for $21.79 each. These seem
to be decent quality for the price.

On to the install, I was really surprised with how easy the installation was. The hardest part was the lower shock bolts.
They would not budge without heat.
No spring compression was necessary on the new or old springs at all.

Before;
Forgot to get a new pic. This is a year old.

After;
Looks low in the rear because of the incline of the driveway.
Center cap is off because I still need to bust loose the hub nut.

Drives and handles much better now.

thats a beautiful looking truck...looks like it just rolled out of the factory...i wish mine shined like that...im jealous.
But theres something thats puzzling me....your rear wheels, it looks like they are off center a little bit, they face towards the front a little more...Is that the flares giving it that look? have you done a shackle flip?

Thanks, I do put a lot of effort into keeping it looking good.
I see what you mean about the rear axle. I think it looking off center is a combo of the flares and the angle of the pics. It is centered.
