Default dodge ram 1500 lift kit questions

Hey i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 sport shortbox and i wanna get a lift kit for it. i plan on spending very little on it cause im only 17, and i thought about getting 65 dollar 4 inch block lift for the rear, and a 3 inch leveleing kit for the front, and plan on puttin 35s on it. question is what else do i need to do this, like do i need to buy longer pitman arm, or what. please answer back, thank you. also is it true thaton sport models they came with 2 inch lift kit from the factory, i heard they did this.

1. sport models were not any higher, just a trim package. dodges with the off road package were 2 inches taller...

2. if you want to fit 35s and not have it rub like crazy your going to want at least 5'' of lift.

3. if you dont want your truck to be super raked out your going to want at least 1'' if not 2'' more lift in the front. especially since your front tires turn and you need lots of space. so your cheapest route would be a 2'' or 3'' suspension lift and a 3'' body lift... but your probably going to want to regear so your truck has some power to get it moving, if you dont expect to go thru lots of trannys. fitting 35s is not cheap...

You gotta pay to play. At some point you're going to dump money in it. I've got around 6k in mine. If you do it cheap now it's gonna cost you more later.

Ok my suggestion is 2.5 level spacer in front and a 3in body lift it will clear 35's and look real nice

Depends on the kit you want. If you're set on 5", rough country is the cheapest.

www.topguncustomz.com are usually cheap.

also for the image, upload the pics to a site like photobucket and once they are uploaded it makes an img url all u have to do is copy and paste it to where you want it.
