I want to paint my alum diamond plate tool box black.. Powder coating and linex is to much so im either planing on rattle can paint or more herculiner.. Any ideas on what i should do? Think it'd be hard or look like crap?

 

I think it would try to peel off after a while. Just fond you a black one on craigslist.

 

Well I have seen what a high quality black toolbox does when you throw stuff at them, they chip just like any cheap one would. I have pretty much the same box and just sprayed it with spray can bedliner and it holds up ok, the top looks good except for where I had christmas tree trunks rubbing up against it.

I always have stuff in box though and it bounces around.

If I were you I would do it with whatever bedliner you feel comfortable with, and scotchbrite it real good to help it stick worse comes to worse and you touch it up every 6 months.
