My buddy owns a 2001 QC Ram 5.9 Sport.

Recently, his A/C has been acting up on him.

Here is the issue: When crusing on flat ground, the A/C blows cold air and works flawlessy, but when going up hills the A/C shuts off...?????

What could be the reason for this?

Vacuum leak?

It doesn't shut off, it switches to defrost. We call it wild vents and there are lots of threads here about it. It is from a loss of vacuum
