Have fun at the Gap and watch out for the cops! I haven't made it up there in a few years

I'm from an area no more than an hour north of it.. I've driven it several times, and lord knows I've mountain biked just about every trail in the vicinity- but I've never ran two wheels on the dragon.. go figure.. I am SO looking forward to it..

and, the new michy's STICK LIKE GLUE.. I don't have elevation changes here, and so lack high and dropping shoulders in the twisties- but if you think about it, those shoulders actually help you stick better- they just give you more of a roller coaster feel otherwise.. I do have a couple twisties down here that I hit WFO Saturday.. I never felt the least bit washy.. and it's all in the tires.. the Metzeler's I had on there SUCKED..

here is something for you other fellas, to show you what 318 curves in 11 miles looks like.. I get a dang chubby watching it!!! :

I how I envy you! I ran pilot powers on my gsxr through there and they were great. My buddy had dunlops - I don't know which ones but they sucked. He had a tank cam but wasn't too fond of all the curves so I rode his bike for him so we'd have some decent video. Made it from the overlook to the store in a little under 10 minutes sliding on those crappy dunlops lol. If you've got leathers or knee pucks be sure to take them!
