Default So proud of my old girl!

So this past week we decided it was time for new sod in our backyard. so I took my 98 2wd and got almost a full pallot of sod. got it back and did all the work, and we had a huge mound of the weeds and other grass that we pulled out, along with alot of mud (we had a drainage problem that needed fixed). Got a wheel barrow and my bike ramps and loaded up the truck with all that junk. took her up to the dump weighed in and drove to the top of the land fill (it had rained on and off for 5 days while we were relaying the sod so the dump was all muddy and slick and rutted from the mac dumptrucks that were up there too) (and i almost got hit by some lady driving a chevy with a trailer, on the top of the landfill) and shoveled out all the mud. went back to the wiegh in to pay the dump fee. 1,920 lbs of $hit, mud grass, and the pallot. The reason im proud of her is that she has been sitting for the past few weeks (rode the bike to work and didnt really need the truck) AND we had to get on the interstate to get to the dump, 80+MPH with litterally a ton of stuff in the bed (1920lbs that we dumped + my truck box + a backseat full of more tools and other junk + my girl and me in the front seats, not one problem. She got rewarded with a bath afterwards to get rid of the smell (both the rotting vegitation/mud in the bed, and the garbage mud that splashed up while in the dump).

edit: shes only got about 168XXX miles and the 318ci V8, 2WD.

There's nothing better than an old truck that does it's job without complaint!

I don't recommend going anywhere near 80 mph though with almost a ton of weight in a half ton. It's good you got there and back safely and without any problems!
