ahhh gotta love them ricers.. so many of them around here. ive raced countless number of them and they all give up when their little Honda or Acura isnt able to pull away from me... On a different note, the most amusing thing that has happend to me, i pulled up to a redlight one morning and a guy pulls up next to me in a prius. He gets my attention and i rolled down my window and he looks at me and says " Your big POS truck is the reason for global warming, You should be ashamed of driving something like that!!!" I laughed the hardest I have ever laughed and then continued to do the biggest brake stand I have ever done. He wasnt happy when my side pipe blew all that tire smoke into his window.

Did the person know how to drive? Because that camaro V6 makes 312 HP and weighs about 2K lbs less. Your truck probably makes 275 at best at the crank, plus weighs a lot more.

There is no way you beat a camaro unless they didn't even know you were racing or didn't know how to drive.

I owned a 1986 camaro with a crate 350, 5 speed making 282 HP at the rear wheels, and that camaro was much faster than my dodge with my mods. MUCH faster. Not even close.

Considering that the V6 camaro is a 12 second car STOCK, I doubt you beat a camaro in your 16 second truck.

 

Long story short, CPTAFW163 used to have a mullet, wore a wife beater, smelled of BO and chewing tobacco, and lived in a trailer park.

 

Well a V6 Camaro is pretty fast for a V6 but not quite 12 seconds fast. Car and Driver has the V6 running 14.5 @ 99mph; V8 Camaro SS 13.0 @ 111. My truck must just feel really slow to me lol.

 

Link? No way a V6 camaro is running 12's, hell the V8's aren't normally even cracking 12's. 300 hp in that heavy car, no way it goes 12's stock. Upper 13's on a VERY good day. I will say car and driver times are a little slower than what can be achieved. 99mph trap should be quicker than 14.5. My 240hp/280 tq stock Grand Prix GTP ran 14.4@96, this should be faster than mine.

I do agree that the OP would have a pretty hard time beating one though. I won't call bs, because anything can happen on the street, but it doesn't add up.

best thing i have beaten is a 71 chevelle with a 454, I have beaten countless c/k 1500's and f150's and have been destroyed by alot of diesels, streetbikes and this one porsche.

 

I beat a newer dodge diesel with a turbo the other day from 50-70 was inching away from him then we both saw a cop and let go.. thank god it just was a car sitting there with nobody in it.

These are most of the cars or trucks ive raced over the years im sure there mord i prob dont remember. Believe it or not its all 100% true got countless others that where either in the truck with me or watched me do it from another car

 

Being a previous owner of a 86 monte carlo ss for 7 yrs.. the 305 is worthless in that car.. if you were to loose to one with your truck, somthing is wrong with your truck.

On a side note.. If it were to have a properly tuned 350 he might of got away.
