i don't want to brag or anything but my 2001 has 165K(i know miles has nothing to do with it lol) but i have the factory dash still.... and i'm 100% sure because my grandpa bought the truck knew and then i bought it from him a few years back


are the dash typical of cracks and holes?

H@ll ya more often than not will u see second gens with s cracked dash. Even mine is in 1 spot but that's due to wicked bumps and spacers lol cleaners seem to hurt these dashes more than anything I think

Be careful with the cheap ebay ones...they dont log as fast and have been known to cut out quite a bit.

The PLX unit is pricey but worth it imho.

I have the ELM327 adapter for the torque app I LOVE it i wanna say it was $27 with shipping and if u want the paid verison its like 5 bucks or u can use the free verison

Truck is a museum piece...I'm not sure I'd change it much.

Its cuz your in western WA, no where near the amount of sun the rest of the country gets. My dads 99 v10 was all sorts of beat up on the outside, but the dash was in great shape. Before i moved down south I thought 2nd Gen's were still new trucks. I had never even seen one with a cracked dash haha
