yalls .02 cents on another truck
Isnt the problem with the 6.0 is it comes turned up to max (or close to max) output from the factory and problems arise when ya try to chip them and stuff which the motor wasnt made to handle? I remember hearin that somewhere
My buddy did a Banks Exhaust to his 6.0, blew the head 1400 miles later on I-20 with only 21k on the clock. Furd told him it wasn't covered under warranty due to the fact he modified it and increased the stock HP. 6.0 Powerjoke, not for me thanks...
6.0L arent that bad or that great.. i have a bad who has had 2 of them his first one was a 2003 4dr short bed 6.0L with 185K he had the edge programmer AFM Intake 5IN stright pipe exhaust and had no problems at all he only sold it in cause he found a 2007 6.0 king rach Crew cab long bed 4x4 with 12K miles on it for 28k he bought it in 2010 its got the edge programmer intake 5in straight pipe exhuast 150hp injectors and 65k on it now... no problems.. he is gonna have the EGR removed tho thats the biggest problems with them....
i'd buy a 6.0L with out even thinking about it

DONT GET A 6.0!!! My dads blew the motor after only 185k km. Left him, his wife and their 24' lake boat stranded in northern Saskachewan about 300 km's from the nearest town. Somthing went in it and ended up having coolant in his oil and oil in his coolant. Ford wouldnt look at him for his extended warranty, because it "wasnt part of the drive train".
Silly man still bought another Ford though. 6.4L 2011 F350 Harley Davidson Edition at least.
In short. F**k Ford

Ive been on two snowmobiling trips out to Wyoming and we took a Ford and a chevy the first time and the 97' ford f-150 had the idler pulley fly off while goin down the interstate so us in the chevy had to find parts at 9:00 at night... in the middle of south dakota... second time we jus went in a 08' 6.0 and the tube for the turbo blew off but it tripped somin in the computer so after we fixed it sumbitch wouldn't start.. in febuary in Wyoming at midnight, so not so good luck with the fords

But I do like the looks of superduty's, and some 6.0 motors are good

My brother-in-law's father in law (confusing I know) has a 2005 Dodge 2500 Cummin's 6 Cylinder (+/- a year) and they took it down to Florida to help some people move, they get half way down I75 and it broke down, wouldn't crank, pop in law went down to see what was wrong, something electrical with the fuel delivery, they pulled it with my father in law's '02 Ford F-150 to Lakeland, Fl where they were headed, turned out to be several electrical problems, none the which I remember nor care too.
Just a reminder that Dodge's aren't perfect either. I was a Ford guy until I bought my Ram. And having no MAJOR issues (like Hammer's experience with Piston's and Spark plugs) whenever another vehicle purchase comes I'd buy either Ford or Dodge, but leaning toward Dodge, the whole Hemi factor is a good draw in.
