Quick non-tech. elec. fan question
that is an interesting way to do it. most wiring diagrams usually say wire it up for auto with a bypass switch. none of them usually setup an off position.
right now i just got mine hooked up to my cruise control switch to turn it on and off. i find as long as i keep moving i never need them.

He's got off road use in mind, but also keeping it interstateable. I just invented a new word.
He's actually driven it to work a few times with no fan hooked up, and it never reached above 200, probably because of the new fancy aluminum radiator, as well as the fact that it's a 4.0 of course

i got a 195* thermostat in mine and my temp gauge usually never goes above 200* with no fans running as long as i don't have to sit at an intersection for much longer than 30 seconds and i have the stock rad. 2/3's of the driving i do with my truck each week is highway and it does good but i wish i had installed the 180* thermostat.
Mainly wondering if they would give the little more airflow through the rad for only that reason or if they wouldn't really do much.
Thats where Im stuck. I know they're not stronger, but I was thinking since they're mounted directly to the rad they might accually pull some air through. I think its going to be a trial and error thing, put them on and just see if they do any good when needed. If not, I'll pull them back out and chalk-up some expirience.
