Yep. Atomized brake fluid will burn. Drop a chlorine tablet from swimming pool chemical, and it will fire up and melt through steel. The pop was the electrical arc on the brake line, the flame was the atomized brake fluid. Glad you were pulling into a parking lot and not driveing down the highway WOT when this happened. Could have been disaterous.

So......other than the blowout under the hood, did the date go well? Did you have to get her to give you a ride home?
