Nice rad! You know you have to put a stripe on that thing when you get it done, right?

Last week I stripped thee peeling paint off the roof and painted it semi gloss Rustoleum black. Don't worry I primered it first. I only took before and after pics, no in process.









I know it looks like crap, but it is good enough for this old beat up truck. This cab isn't worth good bodywork anyway. I just wanted to stop the rust. Sucks to have a black roof because that will just suck in heat from the sun, but red would never have matched and so it was my only option.


Been driving it to work (with still just one headlight and no grill or bumper) and enjoying doing so.

 

looks good man. the silver on mine is going away next year. its gonna be all green, but that red/black is awesome!

 

I like the green/silver. My friend wants to do the same think with his Cummins, but I am trying to convince him not to as well

 

for some reason i cant stand the color... maybe if all the rust gets fixed ill like it better. either that, or the silver will change to black(bed liner). gonna do it with taxes next year, or sooner, now that im a working man. hoping we will see 10+k back next year.
