It's easy enough to check the TV cable adjustment without altering it -- just pop the end off and see where it lands. It's quicker to do it than to wonder about it.

+1. And if it doesn't fix it, no loss. Worst thing it can do is make it rese]=pond a little worse, in which case, put it back....

is the spring on the kick down lever on the trans suppose to pull it all the way forward? i just ask because i know the spring on there almost looks brand new but it does not pull it all the way forward. it only pulls it about half way forward.

Yes indeed, it is supposed to pull the throttle valve all the way forward.

so i guess i need to locate a stronger spring. this new cable design is a real joke. i like the old school metal rod from the throttle to the throttle valve. might have to see about making my own.
here is the best picture of it that i have right now. been meaning to take a few more but been so busy trying to figure things out.

Looks pretty sweet. Just curious, is there a reason you own three old dodges and none are 4x4?

i can't afford a older 4x4. they all seem to be going for about $4000+ and its hard to say exactly what shape everything is in for that price. for $2000 which is out of my price range i could buy 2nd gen 4x4 for some reason. it don't make sense.
