Dumbest thing you have ever done with your ram

well ill add to that then.
i let my girlfriend drive my truck a while back(over a year ago) up to her ex's house to get her stuff, well she left there without anything(ex was a major douche, and is a deadbeat dad) and my truck being vandalized. her ez's friend went through my glovebox, and found a condom opened and unrolled, it and left it on my seat, stole my front license plate, cut the wiring for my trailer plug by the front tire(power wire, and brake wire), and also cut and took the 7 way trailer plug. cops wouldnt do anything because i had no "proof" even know i knew it was him. well a year or so later, and that certain vandalizer let slip where he put my license plate to a couple of the wrong people, and i have it back.not that it matters because i just went down to the dmv and got new plates. but it pisses me off to know people dont have respect for other peoples things. oh well.
i havent let her drive my truck since. lesson learned!

Back in 06 when my truck was new and I was ticked pink at owning my Ram, I proved its worth towing people out sticky situations were only dumb people go, and dumber people go to rescue them.
A five ton moving van backed off a drive way and got caught betwean the side walk and a yard full of mud and water(new subdivison) I playing the hero hooked up a tow rope and set the truck in four low, at first I was confused why my awsome truck could not move this five ton.
Short story long, I was rehooking up, re trying and a crowd is gathering and Im confused as to why I can't move his truck.
Well every time I got out to rehook, I checked the parking brake ( 6sp man) and as you may have figured out, I did not relase the parking brake each time I attempted to pull....

Dumbest thing I've done, though well worth it, was putting the rollbar and lights up top of the truck. Now I dont fit in the garage, and they're talking about baseball - softball sized hail rolling thru this evening. Noooooooo. Ah well, a couple furniture pads later, hope I can save the windshield/ hood at least.

If you're only worried about the windshield and hood pull into the garage till the roll bar gets to the header of the door.

I was moving a bunch of large rocks for fill over a culvert in a wash for several hours by hand. I was tired, sore and my back was screaming everytime I went over a rut or washboard on the way home. I got pissed and figured if I'm gonna hurt so bad I might as well drive faster than 5 mph. I hit an 18" wash at 35 mph and it threw me a foot or 2 in the air on all 4 tires. All the tools in my bed went flying and I had to stop and do a 100 tool pickup. It made a perfect 4 wheel landing and no damage that I can tell.

I would do that, but the majority of the storms/ hail/ possible tornadoes are going to be this evening/ night, and I can't leave my garage door open. I dont trust these kids nowadays to stay out of my garage. Though, your idea is what I do when working on the truck. Pull the half of the truck I'm working on into the garage, and just have to stop when I reach the lights. LOL. When it was just the bar, I would let some air out of my tires, and it'd be enough to clear, but with the lights, they add another 7 inches or so, so no chance. I'm just happy I still clear the Taco Bell drive thru.
