Bed liner worth it?
I have spent countless time looking at DIY linex rhino liners and xtreme liners. At first I wanted the DIY but the warranty thickness and quality of professional started tugging at my interest. Unfortunately it's 525 over the rail for linex and more for rhino. And I think xtreme is out of business...
My main question here is what would you all do???
Is that price too much for the age of my truck? Do I have any other options?
Someone give me wise advice please.

I want to do it but don't have the money available. But I don't plan on getting rid of my truck. If you plan on keeping it no matter what then I say do the Rhino. They have two different textures, one that feels like a plastic liner and one that feels like rubber so keep that in mind. If you slide heavy things in and out of the bed a lot then the plastic feeling one would be the one to go for.

What about rust? Does anyone know if there are good factory looking bedrails that are just the black plastic out for our second gens? They may make it cheaper since linex is 475 under the rail.
I had the drop in bed liner once, but things slide around a lot. I have a rubber rock crusher conveyor belt in my Yota. It is heavy and indestructible. I will probably spray Herculiner in my Ram when I get the body painted. I did not want to paint because I would be afraid of scratching up. If the herculiner goes well, I will do the Yota. Had Rhino liner put on a new truck I bought in 99, and it is still holding up well.
Linex is supposed to be the best on the market (I think a lifetime warranty) but also the most expensive.
My suggestion is to go with the best one you can afford. It should last for years.

We were also dead set on raptor liner or monstaliner before. We thought it looked easy, but I wondered if it was really a value, (200 for 2 gallons with kit vs 525 over the rail but they use like 6-8 gallons) I also wouldn't have prep work and get a lifetime warranty with linex...The thickness is also alot more with linex. Decisions decisions.
i can't see spending $500+ on a bed liner coating for a truck that's only worth 4000 bucks or less. save your money for a transmission - its more important.
but, i'm also on the fence for a reasonable DIY. I bought a herculiner kit and planned to do it, but then i saw someone else's result and wasn't excited about how theirs turned out, so i stopped and decided to think about it for about 5 or 10 years lol.

Yes That was what I was saying about it, but the DIY that last 2 years if your rough on them would catch up to a lifetime warranty, especially if the truck is staying in your family....
IMO. If your going to do a DIY get a monstaliner or a raptor liner.... All the researching I have done mainly points to these. Herculiners are mostly frowned upon now... Monstaliner is very big amoung the jeep community and raptor seems to be the best spray on.
