the only reason i asked that question is because i think in 92 the 318's had more power than the 360's because they were MPFI and not TBI like the 360's. the only reason i say avoid the hemi is because there is a guy over on dodge talk doing it and when he went to rebuild a hemi for his truck and found a fair but of damaged parts

Well I know what's wrong with the Hemi and I am very close friends with the guy that would be doing the rebuild. Ill be checking craigslist for a 440 and trans. No rush again so I can take my time

I'd look for an old 12 valve cummins, you can find a old farm truck for around $1200 then part out everything you don't need!

I 2nd this. Would be economical and simpler in terms of function and getting a package together to install.

I finish my training this week so I will have a little free time to do some searching. I've got a good friend who owns a fleet service shop that goes to the auto auction often so I might have to tag along and see if I can find anything interesting at the auctions for a donor truck

Well surfing craigslist earlier i found some dodge 1 ton axles for a hundred bucks.. If they are still up by the end of the week I may go check them out.. also looked around at some tires and cant make up my mind on either 39's or 42's..... Any ideas?

That's a hell of good deal! I can't imagine what I would do if I didn't have Craigslist, that's where I found my truck, tires, rims, headers, Cai, lift, pretty much my whole truck came off of Craigslist!
