4wd light on the dash is controlled by a 2 wire contact switch on the drivers end of the CAD. unplug the connector and spray it out with wd40 or contact cleaner to remove the mud, sand, dirt. you can test the bulb by shorting those 2 pins. if it won't clean up, remove contact switch for deeper cleaning. if all else fails you can replace the switch for $15-20 at any parts store.

Default got it!

Thanks guys I got it the diagram posted wasnt the same for my frontend it think mine was swapped out or something? My frontend is completely solid no sensors or housing, nothing! The indicator sensor was on top of the transfercase its a 2 pin connector. I got if from NAPA Auto parts they said it was for a 2000 Ram 2500? whatever it works now!
