I never had an xfer case problem... must be a gasser thing...
all those extra parts like spark plugs and distributors and intake butterflies, and two extra unnecessary pistons just seem to cause all these problems
But taking a 2wd Ram where the 4wd Rams go is more impressive

I've only had to be pulled out 2 times, thank you very much 1st time I got high centered on my gas tank, 2nd time I buried the rear in sand
The first is not an issue with the 4x4's.
Second, eh, depends on your tires and the way you drive it.
Most of my off roading is done in 2WD, then when I get stuck on a muddy hill, 4LO to get up it.

I could fix the first with add a leafs and maybe a lift spindle in the front
