2001 518 no 1st & no o/d help!!!!!

Default 2001 518 no 1st & no o/d help!!!!!

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 diesel 518 trans i have replaced selonoids checked wiring checked pressures all have not helped any one have any ideas on why this 518 wont go into 1st manually or auto and also no o.d???

As far as manually I would suspect linkage to be that issue...

I'd say it's toast. But have you checked for codes? And when you installed new solenoids the first time , what was in the pan? And did you adjust the bands?

I am confused, how do you have a 1500 with a diesel? And i thought that they came with 47rh transmissions?

It would be a 47re, which is still basically/ sort of , a 518. I think he might have meant to say 2500.
