Transmission Problem, What could it be?

This has happened on many occasions. I will be riding along and be in first gear it will go to shift into second then its like it goes into neutral revs up real fast then goes into second and kind of kicks. Is my transmission going to die soon?

Filter/fluid change and adjustment.Have a scan to find out for sure...........
