I live in an apartment complex and just recently did my plenum gasket(cheap way as it has 205 on the clock) so i figured id seafoam the engine. my guess it would maybe smoke a good minute or so as this was only my second time ever with this treatment. I was still at the apartments when i did this (mistake). It was smoking for a good 6-7 minutes before i had to shut her down. Had the neighborhood freakin out thinking my truck was on fire. what a headache. I guess i have to wait til tonight to start her back up and let her finish smokin

 

whats the "cheap way"?

I just replaced the gasket, i did not swap the steel plate for the thicker aluminum plate.

 

^Hope you cut the bolts shorter.

I SF'd mine, and it didn't smoke much, and I put a ton of it in. I guess I didn't do it right.

 

i would have just let the smoke roll till it was done doing what it was doing. when i sea foamed my 81 almost no smoke came out the tail pipe. haven't tried it in my ramcharger but i do run ethanol free 91 octane gas in both vehicles so i doubt i will see much.
