Stewie the dakota is actually my daily driver right now haha. Plans for the D50 are up in the air, I am in no hurry because I am not gonna do anything with it until I am done with the jeep and the Cummins is fixed.

DD94 318 is one of the things I am considering. I could do a 318/727 for almost nothing. But I hate automatics. Nv3500 is an option but that would make it way more expensive, and if I am gonna spend money and time on it I would honestly rather swap in an sr20 or rb series nissan with a 5spd, or a 7mgte/r154 out of a supra. I wish mopar had built rwd's throughout the 80's/90's.

Another idea rattling around my brain is to do a built mopar small block/5spd and build a custom long travel suspension for it (think pre-runner). However I am also open to just selling it to make a few bucks haha.

Yes electrical issues. I think a few things crapped out at once. And my wiring needs some love. Of course it happened after I tore into the jeep project. So I am focusing on getting that done first. Probably gonna pull the starter and have it tested soon though.

electrical issues on a first gen cummins?! hahaha that's like me having electrical issues with my S10...it may be fuel injected but its a single fuel injector and 1980's technology...not even OBDII lol there are barely any wires in there at all! and I bet that first gen cummins has even fewer wires! so electrical issue = go fix it!

probably something stupid like a battery cable is loose.

Well, a buggered up ground would definitely keep a Cummins from starting if the starter won't turn or there is no power to the fuel pump. lol
