i have my 1500 4x4 with stock rims on it that are a flat silver, can i put the polished 2500 2nd gen rims on it? i heard you can go lower on the lug nuts just not higher. thanks

No. the bolt pattern is completely different.

 

Only if you swap the axles also. Otherwise, as stated, theyre different lug patterns. 1500-5 lug. 2500-8 lug.

 

Go shop for wheel adapters,you can change from 5 lug to 8.no problem...
