Copper expansion plugs
Have any of you guys ever used these?

I read that they are a permanent replacement unlike the rubber ones. My brother's truck (91 S-10 with a 2.5) needs new freeze plugs and the only way to do it is to try these or pull the motor....again. Thanks.

no personal experience, but if yours is leaking, go for it.

Thanks for the replies. He put a bunch of the rubber type expandable freeze plugs in a month or 2 ago (after I told him not to) and now they're all leaking even after tightening them. I'll give these a try. Any of them that I can put a normal freeze plug in I will. I'll have to pull the trans again but that's a lot faster than yanking the engine
