Can I Haul a Loaded Toolbox 800+ Miles?
Yeah the loading and unloading has me in a bit of dilemma. Anyone think if I pulled all the drawers out that 4 people could lift it into the bed? Not all at once of course but Get one side u and push/pull it on. It's a little over 800 lbs with drawers and all. I don't have an engine hoist or money to rent a ramp equipped uhaul truck. I'm gonna call the guy tomorrow...hopefully he has a forklift or something that lifts things up and puts them down.
This is when I wish my truck came with the tow package.

I thought about that. Only problem is getting the toolbox and hoist to fit in. The bed is 75" long and the box is 73" long, then I gotta fit the hoist...ill find a way though. This is probably what I'll end up doing.
Edit: didn't look at the link... I saw other sites mention a come along but I didn't know what it was. Ill definitely look into that.

Haha, this is how I've unloaded a 700lb tool box once.
1. Park truck under tree
2. Tie long rope around tool box.
3. Throw rope over stout tree limb (oak tree preferred)
4. Tie other end of rope to your buddy's jeep bumper
5. Have buddy back jeep up till tool box is in the air
6. Drive truck out from under tool box
7. Have buddy drive forward til tool box is on the ground.
8. Now figure out how to get it in the shop.
9. Tie rope to tool box and bumper again, leaving the tree limb out of the equation this time, pull tool box out of grass, onto concrete where you can now roll it.
Not the safest way but it worked.
