Real Truck Challenge
I'm toying with building my 2001 Ram 1500 to enter the Real truck Challenge in 2013. I'm curious if anyone has any experience with this to point me in the right direction. I'm thinking 7" long arm, 38" cut boggers, lockers, stock axles with chromoly shafts, dove tailed and a cage and LOTS of rock protection of skid plates. What do you guys think? I'm not going to win, 2nd to last would be good with me. If I get hooked I'd do a full cherokee or YJ build. But I just was thinking it would be fun to try since I'm going to do all those mods anyways to go wheeling here where I live I'd give the RTC a try. What are your thoughts?
That's hard core 4x4 stuff there. Nothing would be close to factory on the mods required. Like Keat said, find an extreme 4x forum. They could get you started better for something like that. I don't think factory anything on the suspension would hold up long.
