The iPad's ok for basic internet surfacing or lazing around. But the Surface bring s the full power of a PC to a tablet. And is cheaper, and probably no waiting in line for weeks to get one, like people do for the iPhone.

I've used iPad's before, and it was nice, but I think if I buy a tablet it would be a Surface.

I bought a used iPad used when the iPad 2 came out. It works well for e-mail (yahoo) and fir surfing, but I really got it for e Books. I am a habitual reader and usually travel with a couple novels in my bag. I think I have over 200 books on it and a lot of documents (pdf) that I can now carry much easier than packing books.

I think I am going to check out imageshack and picasa. Checked PB on my new work laptop. Still sucks and I cannot get to my albums.

if you hold in there long enough they might eventually fix it lol.

do you happen to have a you tube account? if so then you will most likely already have a gmail account attached to it and with that you most likely already have a picasa account.

now i got to say i like picasa. i occasionally am not allowed to edit a picture but i have never had a problem uploading or linking to a picture.

flickr is another option to look at, which is connected with yahoo iirc. Picassa is to Google. Dropbox will work too as long as permissions are set.

I attempted to sign up on imageshack, only to be told that my e-mail was already taken! Don't know how, I've had the same yahoo account for at least 18 years!

So let's see how this works...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Seems to function...just did not have a tag for IMG. Had to use the one marked "Forum"....go figure! Now to find the time to upload photos from portable HS to IS.

This is really strange. I do NOT remember setting up an Imageshack account, but there are two albums there with a couple dozens photos there....that I took. Some are the ones shoing the original condition of my Ram when I got it and the other has about 27 photos of my tranny rebuild. My oldtimers is worse that I forgot!
