Why are you going to look for a different truck? Pretty much any older truck out there is going to get the MPG your getting now. Are you saying your going to look for a V-8 truck? But aren't worried about the fuel econemy? IF that is the case can I ask why did you buy this truck in the first place?
The only reason I got a automatic V6 is because it was my first vehicle, I needed one for my business ASAP last spring (I do small engine repair and lawn care - self employed) and it was only $600 for a '99 w/ 128k on it when I bought it. I really wanted a 318, 4x4 and a 5 speed. So I will look next spring.
