Default New to me

First wanted to say Hi to all of y'all.
I just picked up a new to me 2000 1500 4x4 Quad Cab. With 134k on it.
I've owned a few Dodge trucks in the past, a 78 and 81 D series, a 79 Power Wagon and a 97 Dakota. Loving this one as well.

Just some quick advice. I have know idea of the previous life of this truck but it runs great and seems really solid. I know I need to change the oil, clean the air filter, flush and refill the rad. But what else to y'all reccommend? Other fluids? X-fer case? Rear end? Trans?

P.S really sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place still trying to learn myway around the site.

Thanks Matt.

Change ALL the fluids, so you know everything is up to date. And look through the FAQ/DIY section, lot's of info and a service manual download. Also read the plenum sticky on top of this page when you get a chance. Welcome to DF

Any easy way to identify which X-fer case, rear and front end I have? If it helps it has the 5.9.

Yea. Get one of these. http://www.dodge.com/wccsapp/univers...ull&category=U

And btw, you have a 231 transfer case, a DANA 44 front axle with a corporate 9 1/4 rear end and a 46re tranny. And 3:55 gears unless of course you own an off road edition ram.

Welcome to DF. I would also suggest changing all the fluids that way you know when it was done and you can keep track of when it needs to be done again.
