We laid to rest a 15 year veteran Paramedic today who fell asleep this weekend while driving home after working a 24 hour shift, volunteering at a mass casualty exercise, then working another 12 hour night shift. He left behind a wife and two children. Please make sure to get sufficient rest before getting behind the wheel. Your family's need you, no matter how important that next task might be. Stay safe!

My stepfather is a Paramedic and just today drove home from a 48hr shift. All was good though.
