Default Looks like a move west is in my future!

Decided its time I move on in life and head out to the oil sands to make some money to put towards the ol' girl! In march im packing up and makin the 4000 km journey to Fort McMurray Alberta to work on the oil sands. Hopefully as a steam fitter if all goes well! My plan is make enough to pay my truck off, get enough to make my truck a sick pulling truck. Yes this maybe a little early but thought I'd bug Stewie and be another one to steal his thread title!

so do you already have a job and place to live out there? only reason i ask is if you don't you may want to save up a fair bit of money before you head out there. things cost about 2-3 time more out there. that $2 coffee here is like a $5-$6 there. i think i remember my sister saying something about it costing about $3000-$5000 a month to rent a house or something ridiculously high like that so they ended up splitting rent with a couple of people.

@Vdub- this will be the first time for me living on my own so yes it will. Pretty excited lol
@Whiteknuckle- Depending on if one of my friends comes with me, could be hauling a 20' camper out with me so that is a possibility!

Oh hell yeah! There's nothing like walking around the house with no pants on to make a man feel at home and no one there to complain about it
